Summer Fun 07.08.09

We started out Day 2 with a San Antonio River Boat tour on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. We’ve actually taken the tour several times but always enjoy it every time we go.

It was soooo hot outside while on the tour which is why we took the tour first thing in the morning. We did have a fun time and afterwards we went to eat at Tony Roma's. We don’t have one in Mesquite anymore so we really like to eat there. We had the ribs and they were so good!

After lunch we went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not and Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum. It was a great break from the heat and a ton of fun!!

Summer Fun 07.07.09

Well our little adventure started out with a stop in Waco, Tx. Now Waco is known for many things but one of them is the fact that there is a Dr Pepper Museum there and we went on a tour! It was a lot of fun and a good way to start our vacation.

Now Dr Pepper was not always called Dr Pepper. In fact it was originally called a Waco.

We had a fun time learning a lot of interesting facts about Dr Pepper. In the soda shop you can actually get an old fashioned soda made by a “soda jerk”.

We finally made it to San Antonio and we ate at our favorite restaurant Mi Tierra and it was so delicious!!

One of the things that we like about Mi Tierra is that they have mariachi’s that stroll around and play for the customers. It’s something I absolutely enjoy every time we go.
