South Dakota Air and Space Museum 10.12.09

We decided to visit the South Dakota Air and Space Museum which is conveniently located right outside of the base.  Nick had never been although he's been at Ellsworth AFB since June.

Road conditions at Ellsworth that day were yellow.

Lots of exhibits to look at and interesting facts to learn about.  Here are some pictures from our time there.

Inside the museum they had these tags that were on bombs.  As I was looking over them I came across my birth date.  Of course the year was off but it always seems weird to me when I see my birth date on something.  I'm not sure if anyone else feels that way but it's "my" day and seeing a bit of history that happened on that same day always feels weird.

It was another great time spent with the guys.  I hope to get to visit again soon!

  1. Awesome pics. I love all things military and wish I would have enlisted when I was younger.
