On our way to Mt. Rushmore we stopped at the Ranger Station to get some info on the surrounding area. While we were there we met Smokey the Bear.
And remember...only YOU can prevent forest fires.
We then headed on to Mt. Rushmore but decided to stop and visit Bear Country. If you remember our last visit to Bear Country it was very cold. This time the weather was a bit on the warm side but there were lots of animals out and about so it made it a lot of fun.
Here are some of my favorite pics.
We were able to see a lot of bears up close! It was really awesome.
I think this one was looking at me.
We enjoyed looking in the gift shop. It was nice and cool inside. ;)
M had heard there were bears around. I sure hope he doesn't find any.
By the time we had finished enjoying all the animals we were as hungry as bears ourselves. So off we went to Keystone to grab a bite to eat before our next stop. We decided to try Keystone House Family Restaurant. Sorry to say we were underwhelmed.
These clocks were on the outside wall. It looks like they've seen better days.
With our tummies full our next stop was Mt. Rushmore!
