We started off the day with a delicious breakfast at Denny's. We usually eat there at least once even though we have a free breakfast at our hotel. Every time that I look at the menu "Moon Over My Hammy" just seriously cracks me up.
Next we headed to Market Square again.
They have some great shops and during festivals and around holiday weekends they have additional street vendors. One vendor we always try to visit is the gordita stand.
Gorditas (which means little fatty in Spanish) are very similar to pitas. Kind of like a Mexican pita sandwich. They can be filled with lots of things but M likes the seasoned shredded chicken best.
I also LOVE Mexican pottery. The colors are so beautiful.
After our little walkabout we headed back to the hotel to nap. It can be really hot and muggy in San Antonio so I recommend bringing several extra sets of clothes to change into. I'm just saying...
Gina and Jarrett joined us in San Antonio that afternoon. My sister and brother-in-law are so much fun to hang around. We headed to the Riverwalk to get a bite to eat. Gina commented that she had never been on the boat tour so we decided to try and combine the two and take the Riverwalk Dinner Cruise. And a delicious choice it was!
Here's our guide Danny.
We had a really great time.
After the dinner cruise we strolled along the Riverwalk looking at the various vendors and all the craft items they had on display.
All in all it was a really fun night!
